After graduating from Sheridan in 2019 with a degree in Illustration, Maia found her way into the world of production design, set styling, and decorating. Since then, she’s worked on everything from TV shows and ad campaigns to residential spaces across Canada—always with a love for textiles, colour, and a touch of vintage charm.
She’s happiest taking a project from first sketches to fully dressed sets, whether that means building a room from the walls up or sourcing the perfect prop. Alongside her design work, Maia also creates playful, textured illustrations for editorial clients.
Her styling credits include HGTV’s Farmhouse Facelift and Netflix’s Blue Ribbon Baking Championship. Her illustrations have appeared in The Globe and Mail, Maisonneuve Mag, Sophomore Mag and more. She’s also a Digital Publishing Award winner (Silver, 2020) for Best Social Storytelling with The Globe and Mail.
Maia is based in Toronto, where she loves to sift through antiques, scream at karaoke and make messy papier-mâché projects.
